Every
man at one time or another will experience something in his life–good or bad–that
will change his life and open his heart to God. Not every man will accept Him,
for many men do not know how to accept Him.
I
had the pleasure to attend a PromiseKeepers event. I asked my father to go with
me. He knew nothing about the event, only that we were going on a trip. To get
to the point: I wanted my father to see 50,000 men–fathers, sons, uncles,
grandfathers, brothers, and brothers-in-law–all worshipping the Lord and
praising His Name. Men were asked to go home and start small groups in the churches.
It took several years before Men of Promise came into my life thanks to Charlie
Daues.
I
look forward to the next fellowship Saturday, and I extend an invitation to all
men, young and old, to attend.
